Perth Carols by Candlelight

Feeling festive? Carols by Candlelight is one of the nicest ways to celebrate the season, and these free events often include plenty of other activities. Here is a list of many of the Carols by Candlelight across Perth this Christmas.


Aveley Carols by Candlelight
5.30-9pm, Avelely Playing Fields, Bolero Ave

Bring a blanket and head down early to enjoy food trucks, face painting, bouncy castle and the Lion's Train, then sing along to your favourite carols with performances by local schools, choirs and dance acts. Mc'd by Perth Tribute Act "Pink'ED"

Lakelands Carols by Candlelight
5-8pm. Lakelands Town Square, Mandurah Rd, Lakelands

The Lakelands Town Square becomes Festive HQ with a twilight market, crafts and food trucks and then finished with traditional Carols by Candlelight. Buy a flicker candle on the night for a gold coin donation, with all funds raised going to Lakelands Primary School.

Murray Community Christmas Celebration
5-7.30pm, Cantwell Park, Pinjarra

The banks of the Murray River will ring out with the sound of Christmas with live entertainment, market stalls, food trucks, Christmas carols and a visit from Santa and his helpers.

Armadale Carols by Candlelight
6-8.30pm, Memorial Park, Armadale

Starting with the Christmas Parade through the Jull Street Mall, this popular event will also have plenty of performances by local groups, a visit from Santa plus the fabulous night of Carols.

Belmont Carols in the Park
5-9pm, Peet Park, Kewdale

Hosted by local primary and high school kids, this special Carols in the Park also had the added bonus of a 'snowflake spectacular'. Santa will pop by and there will be refreshments to purchase. Rides and Christmas markets from 5pm, carols start at 7pm.

Madora Bay Christmas Carols
5-9pm, Madora Beach, Madora Bay

With a huge lineup of local school, community bands and dance groups, these Carols are truly a community affair. There will also be rides, food trucks and Santa will even have a gift for all children.

Halliday Park Carols By Candlelight
5-8pm, Halliday Park, Coode St, Bayswater

Beginning with some free kids entertainment such as face painting, a bouncy castle and prizes to be won, there will also be a visit from Santa, food trucks to buy dinner and the carols being led by the WA Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Sweet Thursday Community Singers.

Bunbury Christmas in the City
5.30pm start, carols at 7pm, Graham Bricknell Music Shell and Bicentennial Square, Bunbury

This huge celebration incorporates a street parade, festival and carols concert. There will be free activities and entertainment for the whole family, the parade through the Bunbury CBD then a night of carols at the Graham Bricknell Music Shell.

Carols in Claremont
4-8.30pm, Claremont Park

With a range of children's activities, as well as a visit from Santa this Carols event is a true party. The carols will be led by the Perth Symphony Orchestra from 7pm, and before this there will be a merry-go-round and rainbow tractor train, gingerbread and umbrella decorating, a bouncy castle, camel rides, farm animals, face painting and more. There will also be plenty of food options.

Carols by Candlelight Braithwaite Park
6.30pm, Braithwaite Park, Scarborough Beach Rd, Mt Hawthorn

Enjoy a special performance by the Mount Hawthorn Primary School Choir who will then lead the traditional Carols by Candlelight. Carol booklets and candles are available for a gold coin donation.

St Patrick's Mt Lawley Christmas Festival
3-9pm, Beaufort St (between Perth College and Second Ave)

Bigger and better than ever, this Christmas Festival will have fun activities for kids including a visit from Santa, market stalls, food vans, a wine bar plus plenty of live entertainment during the afternoon. In the evening the iconic Mount Lawley Christmas Tree lights will be turned on after a great Carols by Candlelight.

Christmas Symphony in the City
7.30pm - 10.30pm, Langley Park, Perth

Hosted by the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, this is Perth's largest outdoor Christmas concert with a range of classical music from Silent Night to the 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky. With more than 150 performers including some of Perth's top choirs, people are invited to bring a picnic and enjoy pre-show entertainment from 5pm. This special event will incorporate the traditional Variety Carols by Candlelight with classical music hits plus everyone's favourite Christmas carols.

Carols on the Green (Part 1)
5.30pm, True North Block, 869 Connolly Dv, Merriwa

Take your pick there will be two nights of Carols on the Green hosted by True North Church. Gates open at 4pm with a kids zone and food vendors, pre-show entertainment from 5.30 and Carols from 6.30. There will even be a pyrotechnics display. Please reserve a free ticket.

Port Bouvard Carols
From 5pm, lawns between Batavia Ave and Crowsnest Tce

Enjoy live entertainment, interactive activities and joyful community carols at this fabulous community event. Teens have their own chillout zone, little kids will enjoy Toddler Jam shows and the bouncy castle and train. Bring a picnic or buy from the gourmet food trucks and as the sun sets, sing along to all your favourite carols led by the Falcon Primary choir.

6pm 8pm, Scarborough Beach

One of the biggest Scarborough community events of the year, you will enjoy the entertainment and Christmas carols as well as a massive fireworks display over the Indian Ocean

Christmas Concert
6-8pm, Sorrento Boardwalk, Hillarys Boat Harbour

Hosted by the Balga Community Band, this free Christmas concert will include all your favourite carols.

Carols at the Quay
6-7.30pm Sorrento Boardwalk, Hillarys Boat Harbour

Head back to Hillarys for this special roving carols event around the boardwalk. You can sing from the water or the boardwalk.

Heathridge Carols in the Park
5.30-9.30pm Heathridge Park, Sail Terrace

Arrive early for pre-show entertainment such as face painting, Santa, and Kids Zone with rides, and then get comfy for the carols (7.30pm) and even an amazing fireworks display (9.15pm).There will be plenty of food and drink vendors as well, so why not make a night of it.

Christmas Carols By the Lake
6 9.30pm, Harvest Lakes Community Oval, Aurora Drv, Atwell

This lovely community event will include Mrs Claus and Goggles, a visit from Santa, face painting and plenty of food trucks. The carols are led by The Eureka Quartet and South Perth Lions Club Big Band.
