The 23rd annual Carols by Candelight will be held at Old Government House in Parramatta on Saturday December 8 (enter via Pitt Street). Gates open at 6.00pm and the concert starts at 7.00pm.

Performing at the event will be the NSW Railway Band, Baulkham Hills High School and Northmead Creative and Performing Arts High School. There will be a visit from Santa Claus, a sausage sizzle, and drinks, ice creams, coffee, glowstix, song books and candles will all be on sale.

The event is free but a gold coin donation is appreciated. All funds raised through donations and sales will help preserve Old Government House and Experiment Farm Cottage. The significance of the house (which is the oldest public building in Australia) has been internationally recognised - in 2010 it was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The Carols by Candlelight evening is being hosted by Friends of Old Government House and Experiment Farm Cottage, a fundraising body that helps protect the House and its collection.
