There is something magical about carols at Christmas and while thoughts of carols brings to mind carol singers walking snow filled streets knocking on doors, carols with organ and choir in Adelaide's oldest church is just as magical.

Adelaide's Trinity City Church located at 88 North Terrace, Adelaide is offering a magical day of carols and family-friendly food and fun. On Sunday 10 December 2017, traditional carols with organ and choir will be sung at 9 am and 11 am, followed by contemporary carols at 4 pm and 7 pm and food and fun from 5 pm.

For those who wish to worship, services are held at 9 am, 10.30 am (Family Service), 5 pm and 7 pm. For further information about services, please see the website .

Trinity City Church is South Australia's founding church and is closely linked to the history of South Australia. The location of the church was chosen by Col William Light and was originally near the town's main river crossing and beside the main road to the Port.

The foundation stone was laid on 26 January 1838 with the church being built in 1845. The building was extended in 1888-89 at which time it was transformed to its existing Victorian Gothic style. While it remains fairly true to its original design, twentieth-century additions include galleries, organ loft, and extra vestry space. The site includes a Rectory (1851) and Parish Hall (1887).

The church is easily accessible by public transport; please see the Adelaide Metro website to plan your trip. Free parking is available in the church car park (enter from the Morphett Street slip lane). If the car park is full, parking is available at Secure Parking North Terrace with entry via Hindley Street. Purchase a discounted $3 Secure Parking ticket at the event, and use this to exit the car park.

For further information, please see the Trinity City website or contact them by email or on 8213 7300.
