With award-winning musical theatre star Esther Hannaford
Liam Neal

One of Australia's finest leading ladies, Esther Hannaford, is thrilled to celebrate 50 years of Carole King's landmark album, Tapestry.

Backed by an all-star band, Esther will perform Tapestry complete from start to finish, as well as a selection of Carole King hits and songs she wrote for fellow multiplatinum-selling artists.

Presented by Live Nation, Carole King's Tapestry: 50th Anniversary in Concert sees Esther revisit the iconic music of Carole King following her critically acclaimed performance in the Australian production of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical back in 2017, for which she received her second prestigious Helpmann Award for Best Female Actor in a Musical.

Released on February 10, 1971, Tapestry immediately hit #1 on the Billboard chart and remained there for 15 consecutive weeks.

Featuring timeless classics such as 'I Feel the Earth Move', 'So Far Away', 'You've Got a Friend', 'It's Too Late', 'Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow', '(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman', the album resided on the Billboard charts for a staggering five years and went on to be the biggest selling female album of all time with more than 25 million copies sold, before being surpassed by another megastar, Whitney Houston.

Don't miss this special opportunity to see Esther perform one of the most popular and enduring albums of all time, backed by a band comprised of some of Australia's finest contemporary musicians, including musical director and Jet bassist Mark Wilson, keyboardists Clio Renner and Louis Macklin, guitarist and vocalist Olivia Bartley (Olympia) and drummer Pete Marin.

Carole King has created a magnificant legacy of songs for all tastes. I'm sure these will be well interpreted during this Qld tour.
