Huge Free Festival
Celebrate Harmony Day this year by attending the Carnival of Cultures at Ashfield. The day is Ashfield's flagship event attracting over 20,000 visitors each year.

This year the event will be held on Sunday 20 March from 10.00am to 4.00pm in beautiful Ashfield Park.

There will entertainment for all age groups with the headline act being Aussie icon, Archie Roach. You will also be entertained by Yamma Boys dance troupe, Ashfield Boys' High School Stage Band, Reiko Azuma Trio, a Cultural Dance Showcase, Green Mohair Suits and Cook Islander Community musical dance performance.

MC for the day will be Linda Jaivin on the main stage. DJ Nic Dalton will play tunes in the Bowling Club from 1.00 to 4.00pm and you can check out a showcase of hip hop and RnB on the second stage.

The second stage will also host a Citizenship Ceremony from 10.30 to 11.30am.

Other activities throughout the day will include:

Barefoot Bowling at the Ashfield Bowling Club (11.00am to 4.00 pm)
Art Space where you can make paper planes, learn to knit and take part in some arty activities
Storytelling
Active Zone where you can take part in some great sporting events including table tennis, skipping, badminton, basketball, hula hoops and mini tennis
Medieval Performance Displays
Pony Rides
Giant Slide
Face Painting
Free Plant Giveaway for residents of the Ashfield LGA (upon proof of address)
Bike Mechanic
Book Sale.

There will also be a huge range of international food and market stalls, including The Blak Markets, which will showcase colourful indigenous arts and crafts from La Perouse to the Torres Strait.
