Like every year, the event will be a colourful jumble of all the cultures that make up our Inner West Sydney, manifesting themselves in free entertainment, food and market stalls and fun activities.
For local residents, there will be plant giveaways and there is a free shuttle bus running from the Ashfield Civic Centre to Ashfield Park, ensuring that everyone can get to and from the carnival with ease.
Some of the cultural performances on offer will include Spanish Flamenco, Korean drumming and classical Indian Bharatanatyam. There will also be performances from the Pacific Islands and well-known Australian singer Christine Anu will be the headline act at this year's carnival.

There will also be a variety of activities for the kids to keep them entertained including: face painting, jumping castles, a giant Connect-4 and Lego as well as an extreme obstacle course. All this in addition to the fact that Ashfield Park already has a popular children's' play area and lots of green space.
There will be food stalls offering a variety of dishes from around Asia, the Americas and Europe. There will even be a free bike valet service and prizes for those using the service. All in all a great day out for the family.
