Pizza, pasta, zeppole, Ferraris - need I say more?
Ciao Ragazzi! The Adelaide Showgrounds will play host to yet another cultural event this coming February. Get ready for a day dedicated to all things Italian with the annual Carnevale Italian Festival. A fantastic program has been put together to create a fun-filled day for the whole family. Some of these highlights include live entertainment, cooking demonstrations, fashion shows, arts, a motor show of luxury Italian sports cars, mask making, and more.
Comprising various pavilions, the Adelaide Showgrounds will be transformed into an Italian Piazza, with an outdoor food court, bar and youth stage. In addition, the "Piazza Jubilee" will host the motor show, kids corner, the San Remo Precinct, Brasilia Coffee masterclass, indoor eating court and the classic Italian game of bocce. Reminisce about Italian piazzas filled with quaint eateries.

If you're a food lover, you'll be delighted by this event, as Italians are known for their delicious and delectable desserts, including the infamous Zeppole, my all time favourite Italian sweet. This special pastry is more than just your average cake, consisting of deep-fried dough topped with powdered sugar. Your sweet tooth will be extremely satisfied. Zeppole are significantly typical of Italian cuisine, especially in Rome and Naples.
In addition to the scrumptious sweets that are on offer, an array of savoury dishes will also be available. If you're the competitive type, then why not participate in the popular pasta eating competition. You'll definitely get your carb fix in no time. Don't forget to wear loose pants for this one!

Of course an event isn't complete without loads of children's activities for the little ones. Bring the kids along these school holidays. They'll enjoy a variety of entertainment including a magic show, soccer tables (foosball), and even a soccer competition for under 12's. End the night with a spectacular set of fireworks.
So be sure to keep the 6th and 7th of February free for this dynamic day of food, fun, family and Italian culture; all the good stuff, in a nutshell. If you're dreaming of holidaying in Italy anytime soon, then experience the Italian lifestyle first-hand at the Adelaide Showgrounds.
