To Infinity and Beyond
Whilst most people know Carnarvon is famous for Bananas, there is the Unheralded Carnarvon Space and Technology Museum which celebrates the little known history of the role that Carnarvon played in the manned space program and in the Australian communications industry.

Having seen the classic Australian movie The Dish and understanding Australia's critical involvement in the Moon Landing, it is great to go and see WA's Dish in Carnarvon.

Having children, they were impressed by the enormity of The Dish as well as the Museum itself, which has numerous artefacts and equipment, reinforcing the Carnarvon's place massive involvement in the Space race.

Whilst it was on small step for Neil Armstrong, it is about a 9 hour drive from Perth, so it's not a day trip. It definitely should be included as part of the itinerary for any family trips up north in WA
