Calling all budding artists! The Rotary Club of Carlingford is excited to present their inaugural Carlingford Community Art Show! Held online, the Carlingford Community Art Show offers a unique platform for local artists to showcase their talents and for art lovers to purchase unique artworks from the comfort of their home.

Entries are now open for the art show with a total of $5000 in prize money up for grabs. Choose from the following categories: Traditional Artworks (any medium), Contemporary and Indigenous Artworks (any medium) Works on Paper (pastels, watercolours, charcoal drawings) and Students (Years 10, 11 and 12 - up to the age of 18 - any medium).
To be included in the exhibition, please upload your artwork to gallery247.com.au (select 'Carlingford Community Art Show') before Friday 6th November.
The Gala Opening Night will be held on Zoom on Tuesday 24th November and with celebrated Australian artist Ken Done OAM judging the inaugural art show. Thanks to sponsors Beecroft Smiles, James Stevenson Horticulture Services and Firequip, the three major categories each have a terrific prize of $1,500 available while the student category features a $500 prize for the winning artwork. Courtesy of Officeworks North Parramatta, two 100 piece Mixed Media Studio Box Art Sets will also be awarded to two Highly Commended artworks.
Following the Gala Opening Night, art lovers can peruse the exhibition via the online gallery 24/7 until Friday 18th December. All artworks will be available for sale, so why not add to your art collection and purchase one of a kind Christmas gifts for family and friends.
Proceeds of the art show will be donated to two very worthy beneficiaries - Parramatta Mission who provides amazing support for men and women caught in domestic violence situations, and Grace's Place, a world-first residential trauma recovery centre for children affected by homicide.
