I recently took a small trip towards the south end of Western Australia. My sisters, my mum and I travelled to the area of Northcliffe located in the heart of the Karri forest and perfectly sandwiched between Pemberton and Mangimup. We were apprehensive as a small house had been chosen for our stay, named Caringal in the Karri Cottage.
When we drove down the lane towards our three day accommodation, we were surprised and delighted to find a storybook country cottage that satisfied every different personality and need alike.
This cottage was adorned with country charm, from potted flowers to the pet sheep Baart, and the rolling hills of the South Western region of Western Australia.
This cottage was modern yet had the essence of the Karri region and sits on a property of land for beef farming.
To sum up my experience, I would say this cottage was an instant winner!
The various activities surrounding the accommodation are:
Gloucester tree (Pemberton)
Mangimup markets and town
Truffle factory and cafe (Mangimup)
Various wineries (Pemberton, Denmark, Northcliffe, Mangimup)
The correct spelling is Manjimup with a "j".
I have heard about this cottage before, but never been there, so I would have liked more of a description of what the actual cottage is like.
I'm glad you enjoyed your stay :-)
