Situated in the northern suburbs between Carine and Hamersley, Carine open space is a large parkland with a variety of activities to keep everyone in the family happy.
The 124 acre park is home to many local sports teams, including
Aussie rules ,
cricket ,
soccer ,
baseball and
softball , as well as providing tennis facilities. The parks huge expanse of playing fields features three full size ovals, three rectangles, three tennis courts and a baseball pitch as well as baseball and cricket practice nets, club rooms and plenty of space for training.
The various goals posts are all left up during the week which is more than enough to keep the teenagers and big kids happy. If they need more, Carine also boasts one of the best public skate parks in Perth as well as a four kilometre jogging track with exercise stations scattered along it.
So big kids sorted, now for the young'uns. No child could possibly let their parents walk past the main playground here. The two story playground features all the usual facilities, such as swings, slides, ladders and see saws as well as including etxra goodies like periscopes, sound tubes and musical instruments.
If they're finished with that there is another smaller and quieter playground on the other side as well as resident horses. The stables used to belong to the

The Carine Glades shopping centre across the road is handy, it provides everything you could possibly need for the perfect picnic or barbeque.
If you're into nature, don't think you'll miss out here. Carine open space is centred around two swamps which are absolutely teeming with a large variety bird life. Even in the middle of summer the water holds enough to maintain the fauna. A wide range of flowers and native trees are also abundant, especially around the bigger swamp which has a walking trail weaving through it's depths.
The park is dog friendly, but it is asked that dogs are kept away from the wetlands. Your dog has huge areas to roam free and play with the many others in the area.
