Where can you go to have a luxurious lunch with sea views?

The restaurant at Mon Komo in Redcliffe is one of those places. The is located right on the "deck by the bay". That's Moreton bay with wonderful sea views. Mon Komo entices you to "Eat, Drink and Play".



We ventured here at the beginning of the week for lunch. There is something decadent and playful about a long leisurely lunch on a weekday, especially a Monday.

The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating areas as well as a bar and lounge on the deck. The atmosphere leans to a relaxed, causal yet refined dining experience.



For our lovely lunch we started with the herb and garlic pizza bread which satisfied the growling stomach of our 14 year old son.


We ordered our meals from the lunchtime specials menu. A wagyu burger for my husband, crumbed whiting and chips for our son and a Caesar salad with grilled prawns for myself.




Meals were served promptly by experience and attentive wait staff. We sat back and enjoyed the food accompanied with a glass of red. A truly leisurely lunch time experience.



The restaurant is opened daily from 6.30 am for breakfast, lunch and dinner until late. The Cabana lounge bar (also at the Mon Komo Hotel) serves drinks and bar food which is a taster of what Caribbee restaurant serves.

I often wonder why we don't indulge ourselves more often? Why don't we enjoy life and live in the moment? So my promise to myself is that there is no time like the present to enjoy a long leisurely lunch any day of the week.
