If you know a person who is a carer, or better yet, you are a person who has a carer, then this is your chance to say thank you by arranging for them to go to this event. Carers Day Out is a special free event for carers and their families taking place at Redfern Community Centre.
Carers often spend so much of their time caring for others, they don't think about their own needs. This is an opportunity to replenish that wellspring of generosity.
Carers come in a variety of different shapes - whether it's caring for elderly relatives, chronically sick family members, or children with disabilities. And this day is a special day set aside just for the purpose of pampering these unpaid everyday heroes.
Taking place at Redfern Community Centre between 10am and 2pm on Tuesday 18 October 2016, it should be a great day out.
There will be complimentary massages, mini manicures and express hair styling, health and wellbeing checks, meditation and tai chi, and a BBQ lunch, together with live entertainment, lucky door prizes and sweet treats from MKR finalists, Helena and Vikki Moursellas.
Parking is limited, but public transport should be a breeze - there will be free accessible shuttle buses carrying people from the station to the Centre (bookings recommended on firstname.lastname@example.org).
Take this opportunity to show some care for our carers!
