Provenance Artists Inc, a not for profit society, is hosting the 'Cardinia Grand Art Exhibition' this weekend.
This exciting three day exhibition will run from Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd of February, 2014 at the Cardinia Cultural Centre in Pakenham.
The Cardinia Grand Art Exhibition is one of the largest art events held in Victoria and celebrates innovative artworks by leading established and emerging artists from all around Australia, as well as from Canada, USA & France.
This year will see the introduction of the 'BALDest ARCHY'; a special collection of controversial and comical portraits, featuring the likes of Leyton Hewitt, Brynee Edelson, Dennis Napthine, Daniel Andrews, Bob Hawke and all the local politicians!
Dennis Napthine digging his tunnel and throwing Daniel Andrews out with the dirt – a little bit of fun and controversy.
Complementing the 'BALDest ARCHY' is a series of ANZAC centenary paintings, an emerging 'Scratchboard' artists section, as well as a diverse selection of the finest traditional and ultra-contemporary paintings, including landscapes, waterscapes and avant garde & abstract designs. There will also be creative wood art and petit printings on display.
All artists and art enthusiasts are welcome to attend; there will be a 'Grand Preview' event on Thursday 20 February 2014 at 7pm, which will consist of an awards presentation, refreshments & supper. Bookings are essential to attend this event: please phone Rhonda on 9707 4286 to reserve your ticket or email to email@example.com. All tickets are priced $15 and $5 for students.
All displayed artworks will also be available for purchase; if you mention 'WeekendNotes' you will receive a 10% discount on any painting!
The exhibition will be open to the public from 10am to 6pm on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd and from 10am to 3pm on Sunday 23rd of February, 2014.
