The coolest little bar has emerged from the heart of Sandgate on the Northside of Brisbane. This funky little establishment, Cardigan Bar, provides a warm and intimate setting to relax whilst enjoying some of the finest brewed beers around the region.

If beer isn't your style, why not opt for a wine or cocktail to accompany your array of bar snacks.
The major draw card here, along with the range of drinks they stock and the regular entertainment (art exhibitions, spoken words nights and music 4 times a week) is the fact that it is BYO food. Yes, you can bring along a cooked meal from home, or food from other establishments around the area. Very often, food vans will be set up in the parking lot out the front. The Twilight Markets also operate from Sandgate. So why not head along to the market and then pop into the Cardigan Bar afterwards to chill out.
Bring an instrument down on Thursday nights to participate in a free for all music session with other artists. This kicks off at 7pm. Every second Saturday you will find the Celtic Sessions in full swing form 3pm to 6pm. The other nights of the week, enjoy the sounds of local emerging artists.
My only advice is to get here early. This establishment is a popular little haunt for many and very often you will find the patrons spilling out onto the footpath. The ability to draw a crowd only reinforces the fact that this is a great little place to enjoy some time.
