Ahoy there, me hearties, let's set sail for adventure these summer school holidays. Captain Cook Cruises is offering swashbuckling school holiday online deals for selected Sydney Harbour dining and sightseeing cruises.

The popular harbour cruise company is offering 'one child FREE with every paying adult' on its daily Harbour Buffet Lunch cruise, Harbour Story cruise, Harbour Highlights cruise and its 2-day Hop on Hop off Sydney Harbour Explorer cruise, until 31 March 2020.

Sydney Harbour Buffet Lunch Cruise

We recently took advantage of this awesome deal and took to the seas on the Captain Cook Cruises "all-you-can-eat" Seafood Buffet Lunch Harbour Cruise .

We boarded the majestic three-decked MV Sydney 2000, with its panoramic windows and open top deck with the best view of the magnificent Sydney harbour.

We were seated at a table with a gorgeous window outlook and toasted the stunning view with a glass of sparkling for the grown-ups.

There was a delicious buffet set up with salads, heaps of fresh seafood, a selection of meats such as ham and chargrilled chicken, lasagne, vegetable curry, veggies as well as rice and soft rolls.

To the kids' delights, there was also a variety of different mini-cakes and a cheese board for dessert. Self-service coffee and tea were also available.

As we floated by popular Sydney harbour icons, an entertaining commentary regaled us with fascinating stories about the city's history and colourful characters.

The cruise was just under two hours and the perfect duration for little ones and allowed enough time to feast on the food and enjoy a couple of drinks.

The Harbour Buffet Lunch is $99 per adult and one child aged between 4-15 years is free with every paying adult, normally $69 per child. The cruise departs from Wharf 6, Circular Quay at 12.30pm returning at 2.20pm or from No.1 King Street Wharf at 12 noon, returning at 1.45pm.

Harbour Story Cruise

Another fun option to explore local waters is the Harbour Story Cruise .

The cruise travels between Circular Quay and Middle Harbour and features a fun commentary on the sights, people, land, history and development of Sydney. Unlimited self-serve coffee, tea and cookies are also included.

The cost of the cruise is $49 per adult and one child aged between 4-15 years is free with every paying adult, normally $35 per child.

Harbour story cruise departs daily at 10am or 2.15pm from Wharf 6, Circular Quay.

Harbour Highlights Cruise

Then there's also the Harbour Highlights Cruise , which is a 1 1/4 hour cruise through Sydney Harbour, highlighting all the famous landmarks. Cruise under the Sydney Harbour Bridge and past the Sydney Opera House, see ferries and tugboats crisscrossing the harbour, see islands, forts, lighthouses, naval vessels, submarines and even the occasional whale, dolphin, seal or fairy penguin.

The Harbour Highlights cruise is priced at $39 per adult with one child aged between 4-15 years free with every paying adult, normally $25 per child (5-14 yrs).

The cruise departs daily at 2.30pm from Wharf 6, Circular Quay.

Hop On - Hop Off Sydney Harbour Explorer Cruise

You could also explore the magnificent Sydney Harbour at your own pace with the 2-day Hop on Hop off Sydney Harbour Explorer Cruise .

The cruise features live commentary and visits Circular Quay, Taronga Zoo, Watsons Bay, Shark Island, Luna Park, Manly, Darling Harbour and Barangaroo.

The Hop on Hop off Sydney Harbour Explorer departs every 30-60 minutes from Wharf 6, Circular Quay and Pier 26, Darling Harbour.
