Come say ahoy to the seadogs anchored on Sydney Road
Shiver me timbers. If you're out and about in Brunswick and looking for a feed on the fly, look out for the Captain Cannonball food truck serving up hearty burgers to fill you up for a night on the town or to soak up some of that boozy belly!
Parked up at 350 Sydney Road, Brunswick every weekend, this pirate-themed funky little food caravan is home to a couple of friendly pirates waiting to serve you up a delicious burger. You will find them anchored outside the Sydney Road Community School between Albert Street and Glenlyon Road just near Savers, in the heart of the Brunswick nightlife.
The menu offers a choice of four "Cannonballs" for only ten bucks. I can vouch for two of the four since they are vegan/vegetarian. So here we have 'Bean Around' with green beans, chickpeas, sundried tomatoes, roast pumpkin hummus, beetroot, mint and feta (or without the feta for vegans), or the 'Bombay Bad Boy' with Indian spiced potato and onion, peach and mango sauce, and coriander. The two meat options are 'Licken Chicken' with jerk spice chicken and crispy kewpie slaw, or 'Seas of Cheese' with meatballs, cheese sauce, American pickle, onion, ketchup and mustard.
