Light and creamy gelati, available in all the colours of the rainbow is what Capriccio Gelato provides. Every time I visit Williamstown, I always get ice cream. I have tried a few gelati stores around Williamstown and I must say, Capriccio Gelato does make and provide one of the best and biggest selections of gelato. These flavours range from dark, milk and white chocolate to all different kinds of fruity flavours. Also, they make a range of liqueur flavoured gelato. The gelato is labelled in Italian, with the English translation included. This adds a little authenticity to the gelato.

I found it extremely hard to make my mind up on which three flavours to choose. Each of the flavours were displayed with their flavoured food. For example, the white chocolate gelato was covered in thick shaven white chocolate. I eventually narrowed my selection to bubble gum, white chocolate and cassata. Each flavour was light and really creamy. The cassata had little bits of dried candid fruit throughout and replicated the real flavour of cassarta. My partner decided upon Strawberry Cheesecake, Hokey Pokey & Double Chocolate Gelati. Capriccio Gelato serve their gelato in either a cup or cone, including waffle cones. You can get up to three scoops which equates to three different flavours. Prices vary; three scoops in a cup is $6.

Capriccio Gelato have a small court yard, with tables and chairs for customers to enjoy their gelato. Currently, the court yard only has about four tables, seating a small amount of customers. This is fine, as most customers choose to eat their gelato in The Commonwealth Reserve Park. The customer service was excellent. The place was packed full of customers wanting gelato and we were served in no time.

I will be returning for more gelato from Capriccio Gelato the next time I'm in Williamstown.
