Even lousy gardeners can be motivated by a sausage sizzle
According to the Department for Environment and Water, there are six important tasks to complete in your garden over winter in preparation for the coming warmer months. These are:
Help the rain soak in by adding nutrient-rich compost or wetting agents to the soil.
Get stuck into weed control.
Get on top of those niggling jobs like fixing fences or tidying green houses.
Tidy up your veggie patch and plant brassicas such as broccoli and Chinese vegetables and think about what to plant for next season.
Take time to prune.
Get creative and start a new garden project, like building a butterfly house or planting natives to attract birds.
