If you're after some authentic no-frills Chinese food then this is the place for you. is just one of many unassuming street food eateries nestled in the Chinatown end of Hurstville.



As long as you're not daunted by the look of the place, I promise that behind the cheap facade and inside the equally cheap interior waits a completely satisfying and delicious Chinese food experience.

As soon as we walk in for lunch, we're ushered upstairs which looks equally as cheap as downstairs and has a certain smell which I later put down to their pots of brewed green tea. We're shown to our table for two and promptly handed the menus by the very efficient waiters and served our complimentary pot of said Chinese tea.

The menu is extensive and they serve just about all the classic Chinese dishes you would expect, but a quick look around the dining room reveals their noodle soup is definitely a crowd pleaser. Here you can add barbecue pork or duck to your soup and choose from an impressive list of dumplings. We're starving, so quickly order two noodle soups and I can't go past the salt and pepper tofu, so we order that too.

Less than ten minutes later, we have our steaming hot bowls of fresh noodle soup and side of tofu. The fragrant and spicy salt and pepper tofu is the perfect side dish to nibble on while we wait for the soup to cool down a little. If you fancy, you can even dip the tofu into the noodle soup like I do. The noodle soup is fresh, hot and absolutely delicious.

might not look like everyone's cup of tea but they're fantastic at what they do. And to top it all off, its great value with most soups coming in at under $10 - you can certainly afford to have a big lunch here. After a thoroughly satisfying lunch experience, we'll definitely be going back for more.
