There are many traditions that people have at Christmas time like going to Carols by Candlelight, sipping egg nog, creating a gingerbread house or putting up the Christmas tree. One of the loveliest Christmas traditions is visiting all the places that have gone to the effort of hanging Christmas lights and creating a festive vibe.



I was lucky enough to visit Canterbury Leagues Club this week and discover that, along with a wonderful permanent man-made water feature, there currently is a multitude of Christmas Decorations adorning the outside and inside of the building.



It was so impressive that I forgot for a moment I was in Belmore and thought I had been transported to Vegas at Christmas Time.
There was a giant Christmas tree out the front across from the mega-sized reindeer made up of hundreds of tiny lights.





This was a great hit with children, who noticed that out of an upstairs window, they could catch a glimpse of that famous man in red, who stopped what he was doing to wave and smile at them. What a treat in the busy lead up to Christmas day.



The Canterbury Leagues Club have gone all out with their Christmas decorations this year on the front lawn and inside, and I would recommend swinging by to have a look if you are in the area, especially in the evening when you can take full advantage of all the glittery lights. You could even check out the bistro or coffee shop while you are there.
