One of the few shining spots in the once unremarkable shopping centre of Colonnades has been . Hidden at the original end of the centre, Canopy has remained a delight for home-decorating and gift-giving locals over the years.



Until now it felt like the original two-level half of Colonnades was missing out on all the fun. In 2014, the other side of the centre, underwent a massive transformation creating a bustling fresh food market. Over the last few months, something else has been happening - the redevelopment of stores in the original Colonnades.

Canopy, to the delight of current customers, has been able to expand. What was once a cramped (but cosy) store has blossomed into a relaxing and open space; even easier to get lost in.



The front window now extends further across, featuring a beautifully curated selection of items. The care taken in this display extends into each corner of the store. Browsing feels like being welcomed into someone's prideful home.



For those not confident in their own styling, the lovely ladies of Canopy have designed their displays in a beautiful colour-coordinated fashion that changes with the seasons. As spring arrives a display of beautiful blues reminiscent of Adelaide's lovely beaches is particularly noteworthy.

It used to be a squeeze to navigate around displays, customers cautious of knocking items over. This is no longer a problem in the large open layout.

Along with its homewares, the store is still stocked with many long-term favourites, including Glasshouse candles, inspirational books, and clothing.



Frequent customers are greeted with warmth, catching the staff up on their family, while new customers are greeted just as warmly. Whether shopping for yourself or for a gift, the lovely ladies of Canopy should be able to help you. They even offer free gift wrapping!

As spring approaches and we're looking to update our homes from the dreary winter looks to bright relaxing designs, a stop at Canopy is essential. For those who want to move away from our "use it then dump it" approach to home furnishings, Canopy's homewares will be sure to please.
