Canoe the Riverland , situated in Murtho near Paringa, provide a great way to explore the natural beauty of the Mighty Murray River , whilst relaxing, or taking your own adventure on the water.

Jim and Ruth, both accredited kayak and canoe instructors, have owned the business since 2014, but spent many years kayaking the Murray River and share their passion of enjoying one of the most unspoiled and safest rivers in the world. Their customer reviews and 5 star tripadvisor rating highlight their local knowledge and amazing experiences, so others can enjoy the tranquility of the local environment.

Canoe the Riverland offer hire (single kayak, double kayak and canoes varying from $35/day to $60/day), delivery/pickup (free to Renmark's Riverbend Caravan Park ), introduction tours, group hire, tours, team building sessions, kids kayaking, basic kayak skills sessions along with offering gift cards to offer amazing memories to friends and family.

Their website offers loads of information on how to choose which type of boat, what you need to bring (all boat and safety equipment is provided), safety information as well as a blog which looks at the different river levels, flows and conditions and how this effects kayaking.

Canoe the Riverland host a range of different tours including Sunset Tours, Introduction to Wetland Tours, Dinghy Tours, Moonlight Tours and Group Tours. The price varies on the tour, but on average is approx. $60 for adults and $40 for children. These tours are often arranged on demand or more dates arranged in the warmer seasons.

There are already a few Moonlight Tours available to book, specifically on nights of a full moon to enjoy this incredible experience for up to 2 hours. Depsite the cold weather, winter is when you can see some of the clearest full moons, on the calmest water, and what a way to see it whilst reflecting off the river...definitely one for the bucket list. Times due vary due to the sunset and moon rising times.

The basic kayak skills sessions are a great way to learn the essentials to kayaking in a fun environment and go through topics such as:

Equipment and safety
Entry and exit
Position and technique
Forward Paddle
Sweep Stroke
Emergency Stop
Draw Stroke

Dates are often organised on demand and whilst they do try to keep you dry, a towel and change of clothes is a good idea, just in case!

Kids kayaking is also a great way for kids to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors, under the safe knowledge of being well looked after. Adults can share a double kayak with one child if your little one is a bit unsure, or you are not so sure about them going alone!

There is also a range of other items for hire such as camping gear, transport equipment and waterproofs, as well as items for sale such as bottles of water, maps and sometimes have kayaks and equipment for great prices as they upgrade their won.

This is an amazing way to get outdoors and enjoy the wonders that the Riverland has to offer.
