Located along Churchill Road, Cannoli Box Co specialises in offering the filled Italian pastries known as cannoli along with various other pastries. Though its name suggests only cannoli is offered, a selection of Italian-style savoury dishes is also available. These are heated up prior to being served.

The main focus of the café, their Cannoli are notable for being filled fresh each day and can be ordered in regular and mini sizes. The shell of the Chocolate Pistachio Cannoli we ordered was light and crisp and the pistachio cream filling had a nice degree of pistachio flavour. The chocolate element was provided by the chocolate bits which complemented the pistachio cream nicely.

While we thought the Caramel Sticky Date Cake was a bit on the dry side, it still had the amount of sweetness we desired. It was topped with caramel sauce that partnered well with the flavour of the date cake.

Among the savoury dishes that can be ordered, the Vegetarian Frittata was cooked until it was golden brown, with a firm texture provided by the various vegetables. A notable aspect was the inclusion of stuffed olives to impart a distinctive salty taste to the dish.

The portion size of their Meatball was generous and the mixture was juicy. The Meatball was served in tomato sauce which provided extra flavour and ensured the dish was not too dry.

The tastiness of the salami in the Salami Panini was balanced by the freshness of the rocket leaves. Additional flavour was provided by the scattering of herbs on the bread used to make the sandwich.

Another of the pastries available during our visit, the texture of the Chocolate Brownie is similar to that of an American Brownie. It had a lovely degree of chocolate flavour enhanced by a dusting of cocoa. However, we thought it would be nicer if it was accompanied with some of their gelato.

In addition to Cannoli and pastries, the café also sells biscuits displayed near the entrance. Its location makes it convenient for office workers to grab a coffee and a quick bite before heading for work.
