The Candlelight Concerts series comes to Prahran Square for two FREE live and intimate events this March.
Come and enjoy two stunning, multi-sensory experiences on the weekend of 25 and 26 March 2023.
Held from 7.30 pm each evening, be captivated as the award-winning urban parkland is bathed in the soft glow of 5000 candles under the stars and showcases inspiring repertoires from jazz greats and renowned movie soundtrack composers.
Candlelight Concert: Tribute to Aretha Franklin & Other Jazz Greats
The first Candlelight Concert on Saturday 25 March will feature a tribute to Aretha Franklin and other jazz greats. Falling on Aretha's birthday, be mesmerised by this timely and heart-warming performance with spectacular renditions of her most popular songs, performed by the Luminosity Trio (Elly Poletti, Cheryl Durongpisitkul and Joe McEvilly).
Candlelight Concert: Movie Soundtracks
The second and final Candlelight Concert on Sunday 26 March will feature works from highly renowned movie soundtrack composers - Hans Zimmer, Joe Hisaishi, and John Williams - performed by the Invictus Quartet (Rebecca Wang, Nyssa Sanguansri, Jin Tong Long and Annika Cho), and Eclective Strings.
There will be no food served at the event, however, you can bring your own food and drink to enjoy while experiencing the concert. Please ensure you dispose of your rubbish in one of our waste bins on-site.
