is a cottage business owned and operated daily by local residents, manufacturing and selling candles to both the public at the counter and wholesalers online.

This business which is owned by Paul and Debbie Barling and offers tours and candle making demonstrations for a modest fee of $5 per person in groups of 10 or more. The fee includes an extensive demonstration about how candles are made and decorated as well as morning/afternoon tea which is served in the tranquil setting of the landscaped gardens.



Debbie Barling is happy to share the history of the candle shack which began operating at the basin view premises in the year 2000. The property consists of 2.2 acres in total which includes an old hippie colony site, the old tin shed and sunken toilets remain to tell the tale of wild nights with hippie squatters, camp fires and long removed hemp plantations.

Available candle fragrances include Australian Bush, Citronella, Coconut, Eucalyptus, Frangipani, Gardenia, Frankincense, Jasmine, Lavender, Lemongrass, Musk, Opium, Patchouli, Rainforest, Rose, Romance, Strawberry, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Ylang Ylang.





All candle orders totalling over $100 receive a hand picked gift from the Candle Shack.
