New to Canberra, I love exploring this city and the secrets that it holds with my family.
Spooky Swing Dancing with Ghouls & Trolls
Have you noticed these signs on the side of the road around Canberra this week? This is to advertise the event called Canberräng - Canberra's own Festival of Swing hosted by Jumptown Swing. The festival has already begun around the city, however this free dancing event for the public will be held on Saturday at Garema Place in the city centre. Be warned however - the event is called "Guys and Dolls, Ghouls and Trolls" and will include "a crazy combination of 1930s partygoers and creepy creatures... with a high voltage dancing mix of vintage 30s fun and outrageous undead". Dancers will be dressed in 1930's/ 1940's swing style - or fangs, fur and fancy dress!
If you enjoyed the show, why not visit the Old Bus Depot Markets in Kingston on Sunday for more swing dancing - vampire style - between 11am to 12pm. See the website for all the spooky details.
