An empowering and social school holiday activity

Canberra Speaking School is offering a range of holiday workshops in debating and public speaking for school students in Years 3 9 in Deakin.

Run by former corporate lawyer Mark Slaven, educator Ben Hewitt and serial debater Max Koslowski, Canberra Speaking School seeks to remedy the lack of good quality education in public speaking throughout the ACT. Using their combined skills honed through years of experience, Mark, Ben and Max aim to bring out the charismatic speaker that hides within every student, shy or outgoing, by using fun, engaging and welcoming programs targeted at improving the speaking skills of primary and senior school students.

Canberra Speaking School takes its key teaching doctrine of 'learning by doing' to heart, and seeks to ensure that every class is kept small, that every student is given multiple opportunities to speak in a fun, welcoming environment, and that every one of their experienced and passionate coaches is able to provide individualised feedback.
