Hawker styled market filled with multicultural food
The Canberra Times Night Noodle Markets returns once again to Reconciliation Place for 11 delicious food filled nights from 28 February – 9 March 2020. The Night Noodle Market will bring to Canberra, a range of amazing Asian-inspired dishes from both new and returning stallholders.
Some of the new smallholders this year includes The Pham Sisters who make vegan Vietnamese food and Raijin who make delicious Japanese food. However, the new stallholder that I'm most excited for is Domochi Donut Bar, a donut store from Sydney. These guys were the first store in Sydney to specialise in Mochi Donuts. These gorgeously decorated donuts are a Japanese - American hybrid and are actually made with rice instead of the usual flour. Simply delicious!
Along with the new stallholders, a number of favourites will be making an appearance again including Poklol x Puffle with their amazing KFC puffles, delicious bao buns from Canberra locals Wonderbao, Gelato Messina with their deep-fried Bangkok Banana, and of course, Flying Noodles, who magically get their noodles to appear as if they are suspended in thin air!
If none of those vendors take your fancy, other vendors also returning to the Night Noodle Market include Hoy Pinoy, May's Malaysian Hawker, Bangkok Street Food, Twistto, Teppanyaki Noodles, Shallot Thai, Satay Brothers, Chinese Dim Sum King, Waffleland, Chur Burger, Wok Master and Bao Brothers.
With so many different stalls this year, and several stalls selling vegetarian and vegan options, there will be surely something for everyone this year at the Canberra Times Night Noodle Market! Leaving only one question - what dish will you try first?
