The Canberra Moon Festival is a celebration presented by The Federation of the Chinese Associations of ACT and a number of local Chinese societies. All are joining forces to create this exciting event, with hundreds of families expected to attend. This family friendly event will be held at the Old Bus Depot Markets location and will have over 30 food and product stalls, children's activities, traditional performances and cultural activities for all ages. This event will be held between 2pm - 8pm.

The Moon Festival (or Mid-Autumn Festival) is celebrated annually on the night of the Autumn full moon. Traditionally it is a festival to give thanks for the harvest, however in modern times it is a community event to share with friends and relatives, eat lotus bean-filled mooncakes and watch the moon - a symbol of harmony and unity. Learn more about this traditional celebration, enjoy some tasty fare and spend the afternoon at Kingston, this September 10th.
