New to Canberra, I love exploring this city and the secrets that it holds with my family.
Wine tastings, cooking demo's & celebrity chef's
Canberra Food and Wine Expo is a three day event showcasing gourmet foods, wine, demonstrations by celebrity chefs and the best part - free tastings!
This event is now in its fifth year and will be held at the Canberra Exhibition Centre. There will be a full program of events to tantalise your taste buds and introduce you to new recipes and cooking techniques to try at home.
On the Main Stage inside the Expo there will be cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs, including Ben Milbourne from 2012 Masterchef who has written two cookbooks. Rishi Desai, finalist in the 2013 Master Chef series will also be demonstrating as well as local chef Nikhil Jain from the National Convention Centre and Prasantha Giragama, sous chef from Crowne Plaza in Canberra. More chefs will be added to the lineup as the event gets closer, see the Canberra Food and Wine Expo website for more information.

Canberra is fortunate to have such high quality local produce and wines in the region and the Canberra Food and Wine Expo is the perfect place to take advantage of this, all in one location. With Canberra's wine region producing award winning wines, local breweries popping up all over the city and local food producers selling their produce worldwide, Canberra has a lot to offer in Australia's Food and Wine industry.
