Hop aboard this Easter for the ride of your life
This Easter, experience all the fun and excitement of a steam train trip behind former NSW Railways 59 Class locomotive 5917 as the Picnic Train presents a long weekend of special family trips from Canberra!
Departing from Canberra Railway Station in Kingston over the Easter Long Weekend, you and your family can go on a one-hour return trip to Queanbeyan, or you can embark on the longer return trips to Goulburn and Bungendore.
Easter Train Rides depart on Friday, 10 April; Saturday, 11 April, Sunday, 12 April and Monday, 13 April 2020. Ticket prices vary; please see website below for more details.
The train is equipped with a Buffet Car where light meals/snacks and beverages can be purchased. Passengers are also welcome to bring their own 'picnic hampers' and non-alcoholic drinks. Passengers are able to walk through the train to the Buffet Car.
Strictly no BYO alcohol. Toilets are also available in most carriages.
