It's almost time for the Easter Bunny to hop into town and this list of egg-celent Easter events, activities and sweet, chocolatey goodness is guaranteed to help you make the most of the Easter long weekend in Canberra. With local chocolatiers whipping up some Easter treats, Easter egg hunts, Easter-themed meals, Easter markets and more, there really is something for everyone this Easter in Canberra.

LOCAL CHOCOLATIERS' EASTER TREATS

Murrumbateman Chocolate Co

The Murrumbateman Chocolate Co has a huge range of locally produced Easter treats. From chocolate hens to chocolate bunny lollypops, and traditional eggs to huge Easter indulgence hampers, this is Easter done right. Check out the range here .

Enigma Fine Chocolates

The Enigma team have nailed the Easter brief this year with everything from freckle eggs, mini quail freckly eggs and cartons of chocolate eggs to hot chocolate bunny bombs. Kurrajong Hotel Easter Chocolate Indulgence

Spoil yourself this Easter Saturday with an indulgent chocolate brunch at Hotel Kurrajong Canberra.

Beginning with a melting chocolate risotto and followed by a decadent chocolate high tea including oreo cupcakes, profiteroles, and chocolate cheesecake, this is a chocolate lover's dream come true! Easter at the Mint

Hop in and enjoy an Easter surprise activity, stories, crafts and a tour of the gallery and factory as part of the Mini Minties program.

Canberra Miniature Railway Easter Extravaganza

The Canberra Miniature Railway Easter extravaganza, will run over two nights with rides running between 5pm and 8pm and two Easter egg hunts, at 5:30pm and 6:30pm each day, where there are a mind-blowing 4000 Easter eggs to find! A great family event.

Easter High Tea at the Capitol Bar and Grill

Tumble down the rabbit hole and enjoy a decadent Easter High Tea prepared by Capitol Bar & Grill's Executive Chef Michael Box. The clever menu has an Alice in Wonderland theme sure to pique your curiosity with quirky culinary nods to the Alice in Wonderland fairytale.

The menu includes sweet and savoury delights perfectly paired with a cocktail on arrival and free-flowing barista-made coffee, tea or juice. Your invitation extends to an Easter egg hunt, where you'll find cacao confections to take home.

Easter Bunny Tea Party & Garden Party at MarketPlace Gungahlin

For some free school holiday fun, bring your kids to experience an enchanting garden setting, where they'll receive their very own tea party box filled with delicious treats and surprises. But that's not all! The Easter bunny will be making a special appearance. Kids will meet and take photos with the bunny, making it an Easter experience they won't forget.!

The Yarralumla Play Station Easter Egg Hunt

It's on again and even bigger in 2023 with more sessions and prizes! This egg-citing all-ages event includes a Cadbury easter egg goodie bag, a train ride, the chance to find special eggs and win eggstra-special prizes and a jumping castle.

Old Canberra Inn Easter

There's an Easter hunt at the Old Canberra Inn suitable for the whole family - the kids get to hunt chocolate eggs while the adults can go on a quest seeking the hidden beer. There will also be a jumping castle on site to add to the fun.

Easter at the Promenade Cafe at the Hyatt Hotel

Enjoy a variety of seafood, hot dishes and bespoke Easter desserts at the Hyatt Hotel from the 7th to the 9th of April 2023. Lunch and dinner services are available. Contact the Hyatt to book.

Canberra Easter steam excursions on The Picnic Train

Hop aboard the Picnic Train for a unique Easter experience. You can ride from Canberra to Bungendore and back and with a choice of 2 steam locomotives and multiple trips each day, this is an event you won't want to miss.

Cooleman Court Easter Egg Hunt

Cooleman Court is hosting its annual Easter Egg hunt and this one is for a good cause. Begin upstairs (near Aldi) to start the journey, where you'll be provided with a basket and a list of stores to visit to collect your Easter Egg treats. Tickets are $3 and all funds raised from ticket sales will be donated to Communities@Work.

Crace Community Association Easter Egg Hunt

The Crace Community Association's Easter Egg hunt is back after a Covid-pause. There will be an Easter egg hunt on Hilltop Reserve and after the hunt, parents can have a hot cross bun. Feel free to bring a picnic blanket and make a morning of it with family, friends, and neighbours. Tickets are free but numbers are limited.

Yerrabi Pond Easter Egg Hunt

The Yerrabi Pond Easter Egg hunt is on again and this year, there will be a fun-filled Alice in Wonderland-themed easter egg hunt, with plenty of eggs to be given away and fun to be had.

Meet the Easter Bunny at Majura Park

The Easter Bunny has cleared some time in its busy schedule to celebrate Easter Easter cookies with the kids who come to say hi. Each child will receive a take-home Easter goodie bag for even more fun!

Located outside Toymate at the southern end of the Majura Park shopping centre.

Government House Picnic and Easter Egg Hunt

Enjoy the grounds, the views and a fun afternoon at one of the most historic properties in Canberra, Government House. Spread out a picnic rug, enjoy the atmosphere and views and join in the massive Easter egg hunt! The event is free but you must register and numbers are limited. You will need to bring your own food and drinks and house tours are not available.

Easter Thursday UV Party

Reload Bar & Games brings back their huge glow-in-the-dark UV party this Easter Thursday and it's set to be big! This will be a night dedicated to everything neon with the venue and dancefloor a sea of Ultraviolet light! Dress in white for the best effect - glow sticks, UV paint and makeup will be available and there are prizes for the best glow up outfit. Strictly 18

Easter Canberra Small Business Market

The Canberra Small Business Market is back for two big days just in time for Easter and the Easter bunny is expected to make a surprise appearance. This market is full of all kinds of wonderful local small businesses and the Canberra Pet Rescue will be at the door collecting donations (not required to enter, only donate if you can).

Meet the Easter Bunny at the Old Bus Depot Markets**

Spending Easter Sunday at the Old Bus Depot Markets is a tradition for Canberra families. You'll find chocolate and freshly baked goodies alongside the eclectic mix of quirky and interesting treasures. The Easter bunny got the memo and will be hopping around the markets to add to the fun.

The Old Bus Depot Markets will be held on Easter Sunday in Kingston.

GOOD FRIDAY FISH MARKETS

If you want the freshest seafood on Good Friday, FishCo will be open from 6am to 2pm at Dalby Street Fyshwick.
