CBRmade Etsy Made Local Market:
Held at EPIC, Canberra's Etsy markets feature stallholders from Canberra and surrounding regions selling high-quality handcrafted items and delicious food and beverages. Handmade Canberra Virtual Market Throughout November
While the usual bustling Handmade market has moved online, fear not - you'll still have access to a whopping 290 Aussie stalls offering quality food, drinks and handmade creations at the online market over four Saturdays in November. Christmas Sparkle Market: December 5 and 6
Held over two days at the Pearce community centre, this little market features Canberra region makers and artisans. A good choice if you like to shop minus hectic crowds. For details, click here.
This market sells a variety of high-quality plants, bric-a-brac, toys, Christmas items and gifts, clothes, homewares, handbags, jewellery and accessories and books. Christmas Sip and Shop at Pavillion on Northbourne: 11am - 5pm 21 November
If you like to do your Christmas shopping with a good conscience and a side of wine, this is the event for you! The event features ten local small businesses run by women. Entry is $10 but this includes a glass of wine and a goody bag. For information, click here.
Contentious Character Winery Christmas Shopping Fair:
11am 29 November
If you're looking for a gourmet Christmas shopping experience, this is it. Enjoy a selection of Contentious wines, Contentious Condiments and Ketchups, Jasper & Myrtle's chocolate, cheeses and nibbles. The best bit? If you like what you taste, you can stock up for Christmas and share the love. As well as the food, there will be a range of gifts (some from fellow local businesses) including skin and bodycare, candles, Riedel glassware and more. Dirty Jane's Twilight Christmas Shopping:
5pm - 8:30pm 4 December
Want an excuse to frock-up while you shop? Dirty Jane's Canberra is hosting a Christmas twilight shopping evening complete with prizes and random acts of kindness to add to the Christmas cheer. Canberra Potters Christmas Fair
10 - 20 December
The Canberra Potters are offering a range of works from local potters and ceramicists at their annual Christmas Fair. Running from 10am - 4pm at the Watson Arts Centre, there will be a huge range of ceramic art and pottery all made by local creatives.

Gingerbread House Making at Hops and Vine:

If you want to build your dream (gingerbread) house this Christmas, the Hops and Vine workshop has you covered. Everything you'll need is supplied – gingerbread kit, icing, board, embellishments and even cellophane to take your creation home and enjoy.

Christmas Cross Stitch Workshop at POP:
6pm 28 November
In this two-hour workshop designed for beginners, you'll learn to make two wooden Christmas decorations featuring a cross stitch pattern. Mollie's Good Dog Christmas Party, Murrumbateman Winery:
10am - 5pm 5 December
If your pooch is dying to meet Mrs Claws (see what they did there?), Murrumbateman Winery is hosting a dog-friendly Christmas Party complete with doggy treats and games to play.
For the humans, there will be cheese plates, tea, coffee, soft drinks AND free Wine tasting.
Mollie, the winery's resident pooch, will have her 'Wishing Bone' set up for donations of toys or treats which will be passed on to the ACT-RSPCA, so that any of the animals staying there over Christmas will get a present, or maybe even find their new forever home with you. Nectary Store Christmas Wreath Workshop at Nguurru Farm

If you fancy making an all-natural Christmas wreath, the good folks at Nectary are running two workshops this season. You can choose a 'naked' vine wreath or a native foliage wreath and the workshop includes all materials as well as drinks and nibbles in the tranquil surrounds of Nguurru Farm.
