A family day of fishing at Lake Burley Griffin
Canberra Carp Out, 2016 is a family friendly event held at Lake Burley Griffin, where teams and individuals register to catch the biggest and heaviest European Carp and Redfin. These introduced pest fish species are a threat to the native fish in the water system, so this is a great opportunity to get them out and have fun at the same time! Anglers have between 9am and 3pm to catch their fish and prizes include a brand new boat and motor jointly supplied by Canberra Fisherman Club, Canberra Marine and Fyshwick Marine.

Join other fishing enthusiasts at Lennox Gardens for a fun day of competition, with a sausage sizzle to enjoy for lunch. 50% of profits from the Carp Out will be donated to The Cancer Support Group ACT Eden Monaro's Own and 50% of profits will be used for native fish stocking of Canberra lakes and ponds.
