The lawns of Old Parliament House will host a spectacular sight each day during the annual Canberra Balloon Spectacular, filling with colour as giant balloons drift off into the sky. In fact, it's been listed as one of the top four hot air ballooning events in the world.
Each morning, from Saturday March 9 to Sunday March 17, pilots will begin laying out and inflating their balloons from 6.00am. They will then rise into the sky, creating a breathtaking backdrop to the national attractions within Canberra's Parliamentary Triangle.
The action isn't limited to the sky however. The Canberra Balloon Spectacular will also feature live, local entertainment each morning, as well as a range of hot breakfast options to satisfy hungry families on the cool autumn mornings.
The Canberra Balloon Spectacular will run from 6.00am to 10.00am on weekdays, and from 6.00am to 11.00am on weekends. Entry to the event is free.
