If you're a fan of great food from every corner of the globe, and exploring Sydney like a real local, then the Campsie Food Festival is just for you!
Head to Beamish Street in the heart of Campsie on Saturday 30th May as the city showcases the best of its authentic international food. You'll be able to sample amazing cuisine from China, Spain, Germany, Mexico, Vietnam, Italy, Turkey and Korea, to name just a few.
There will be a wide array of food trucks and stalls serving everything from Korean dumplings to Scandinavian hot dogs, from Turkish gozleme to Italian wood-fired pizza.
Special guests include:
Celebrity TV chef Lyndey Milan from LifeStyle FOOD will be on stage preparing some delicious meals
Prominent Korean chef, Heather Jeong will also be on stage demonstrating amazing Korean cuisine
Kyal & Kara from Ch 9's hit TV show Reno Rumble will be there
If you'd prefer to be led on a culinary adventure, why not take a food tour! Taste – Campsie Food Tours bookings will be taken on the day at The Benevolent Society stall located next to the clock tower in Anzac mall. The tour will cost $5 per person. Price includes a Taste shopping bag to collect samples and recipe cards. Capacity is 20 people per tour group.
Other activities include edible insects (you read that right!) from Butterfly Skye, cooking workshops for the kids, free rides, and s "Bike n' Blend" (an activity that lets you pedal a bike and make a smoothie.
Mayor Brian Robertson said, "We are fortunate to live in a community where we can share each other's rich traditions and enjoy wonderful cultural cuisines, and those cuisines will be on display at the festival".
