Barbeque along rhe river
Friuli Venezia Giulia Region is crossed by Tagliamento, a huge river that ends its flow in Lignano, the famous holiday resort.
The Tagliamento gives life to a broad variety of bushes, trees and animals so people like to picnic and hunt in those areas dug by the water. We went there for a weekend camping and for a typical "grava" night out (Grava in Italian stands for the peculiar and characteristic territory formed by the river's excavation power and erosion).

As everyone arrives, guys start to organise and prepare the kitchen corner, which consists of a fireplace and the placement of the barbeque grill. You can go with a little tractor too, to supply the group with firewood.

Then we opened the tents, bought from the international seller Decathlon, which provides a wide selection of models ad colours. Generally, you need one with room for two people. As this kind of bush is windy and cool at night I suggest you bring jackets, scarfs, comfortable sneakers and a pair of gloves if you are in the area during the winter season. In setting up the tent, we put a mat on the bottom to ward against the humidity then, on top of it we placed the mat and then a blanket and our sleeping bags. We bought the ones you can join together to make a double blanket. In addition, you can buy a sleeping bag which retains 15 degrees, whichwould be fine for spring nights in the area.

If you are lucky, you will find funny entertainers to liven up your stay, assisted by beer. You are also allowed to bathe in the cold waters of the river, always responsibly.
