Great facilities for active families near Brisbane
Cameron Court Park in Victoria Point, set on the bank of Eprapah Creek, is a large park with a number of great facilities for active families.

The main feature of the park is a sun smart playground set beneath a generous shade sail. The brightly coloured jungle gym includes features suitable for children with a range of ages and abilities. This includes 2 lengths of slides, easy climbing blocks, a steeper climbing wall for older kids, a small rope spider web area, and a range of platforms and features for imaginative play.

Adjacent to this is a swing set with swings that are suitable for children of varying ages. The entire playground area is set in a large sandpit, providing an extra feature for children to play in, although the swings are set above an area of softfall material.

For older kids and adults there is a basketball court with a single hoop. According to my teenagers, the concrete surface is also ideal for handball matches.

These features are set within the large grassy parklands that provide spaces for a number of groups of people to play separate ball games or picnic. There is also a single shaded picnic table.

Numerous trees provide shade across the parklands, with benches set beneath a large fig tree near to the playground.

There is also a water fountain here, although families should be aware that there are no amenities at Cameron Court Park.

Lastly, Cameron Court Park is well linked to the surrounding suburbs of Victoria Point and Thornlands by the Moreton Bay Cycleway. These paved paths also provide ideal surfaces for young children to practice their bike riding and scootering skills.

Aside from the lack of amenities, the many features of this beautiful parkland make it ideal for families wanting to spend an active day out together.
