These Summer school holidays, young shutterbugs aged 10 years and over are invited to participate in Camera Story's popular series of creative camera workshops.
Held in the convenient location of the Perth Centre for Photography, this unique workshop series will outline the basics of digital photography in a fun and supportive environment.
Children will explore manual camera skills, including experimenting with light, composition and content and will be encouraged to slow down and actively engage with the world around them.
At the conclusion of the workshop, children will come away with an understanding of how to take a beautiful, meaningful photographs and have the confidence to create positive imagery.
The workshops will run over two weekends within the beautiful and secure grounds of the Perth Centre for Photography.
Saturday 7 & Sunday 8 January, 1pm - 4pm
Saturday 14 & Sunday 15 January, 1pm- 4pm
The workshop is split into two sessions: Session one on the Saturday and session two on the Sunday. It is important that children attend both days.
The participation fee is $80 for the entire weekend or $70 for Perth Centre for Photography members and children are encouraged to bring their own DSLR camera. However, if they don't have one, children are able to hire one for the small fee of $10.
