Dine In Dine Out is back, returning as a single day fiesta on Saturday 6 August 2016 from 10am to 3pm and 6pm to 10pm. This 4th instalment event is packed with loads of activities that include laneway pop-up parks, street food tastings, in-store promotions, a family day at the market and lots of fun roving entertainment for the children. Make the most of the day filled with fun and free activities, dine at one of the fine eateries, or explore that specialty food store to find something new, or source ingredients to create that perfect meal at home.
This is the way The Camberwell Traders Association support their traders, whilst giving the community fantastic food on offer in its shopping precinct. Cafes, restaurants, niche food stores, fresh market produce, they have it all.
Held at various venues, you'll find events happening at the pop-up park in Evans Place, the Market Place Park, the Camberwell Fresh Food Market and Burke Road. Stumble your way through laneways to find food stations, and make the most of street food offerings. Come evening, from 6pm to 10pm, Evans Place will transform into an after-dark jazz park, inclusive of a live jazz band. Join the wine tasting on your way to one of Camberwell's many fine restaurants or stay to hit the dance floor.
Check out the Event Guide for details of all the exciting events going on, and their timeframes and venues. There's a pull-out event map to locate where all the action is. After all, I can't imagine the kids not being excited by a free fire truck ride or the Kid's Cooking Club, what with Masterchef being a great influence.
Renown chef Cabriel Gaté will be there to launch his new book and a signing at 11am at Dymocks Camberwell. Watch out for 'taste trail' posters on the windows of cafes and restaurants in the Camberwell shopping precinct. Try out their Dine In Dine Out specialties, share your highlights, and you'd be in the running to win a $500 shopping card. As you can see, there's a lot happening, so grab the family and head out to enjoy a fun-filled day.
