Feeling sad that you can't travel? You can have a multicultural meal at the Caloundra Street Fair. There is an amazing range of food. If you start early with breakfast, by the time you've finished exploring up and down the street, you'll be ready for lunch.

Choose from crepes ( sweet, savoury, vegan or gluten-free), Japanese, corn fritter, burgers, gozleme, dumplings, Tibetan momos, German sausage, Dutch pancakes, (sadly only sold as a large plate ... too much for one), American hot dogs, potato slinkys, bread and cakes, rocky road and more.

Thirsty? There's bubble tea, iced tea, coffee, ginger beer and juices.

Sitting to eat can be tricky but it's only a couple of blocks to the beach and there's a lovely park on the path to the library complete with live music ... and I saw at least three musicians.

Stalls are all stocked with good quality offerings. There are several stalls of beautiful silver jewellery, as well as quirky handmade earrings, plants (real and artificial), clothes of all kinds, accessories for dogs, hats, hats and more hats, belts, bags, sunglasses and more.

There are several stalls selling makeup and skincare. I bought a scrub for dry skin and eczema. There was also hand and body lotions, lipsticks and something for back pain.

Of course, there are clothes, not as many as at some markets, but a nice range of t-shirts, dresses and kids clothes.

Kids can get a balloon animal from Mr Jay or climb the rock tower. They might even benefit from a worry doll.

You can even stock up on Christmas decorations!

Consider visiting The Art Gallery at the back of the park, opposite the Library entrance. It's small but interesting. At the moment the exhibition is 'Celebrating 20 Years of Caloundra Regional Gallery'. It is open from 10am to 2pm on weekends.

Many of the shops are open too - the bakery, cafes, clothing, homewares, bookshop, and even the op shops.

This market is on every Sunday, so if you are in the area, rain or shine, call in and have a look. You can pick up some fruit and veg while you are there.
