Come along and see the latest production of Calendar Girls, a world-wide comedy hit show. Calendar Girls will be performed at the Don Russell Performing Arts Centre, Murdoch Road in Thornlie, on Saturday 31st May, 2014, starting at 8pm.



Proudly brought to you by the City of Gosnells , Calendar Girls is a heart-warming true story, made into a hit movie in 2003, staring Helen Mirren and Julie Walters. Calendar Girls has also been adapted into a successful stage play.

Written by Tim Firth and presented by Jally Entertainment , Calendar Girls is based on the true story of eleven members of the Womens Institute, who pose nude for a calendar to raise money for the Leukaemia Research Fund.

When Annie's husband John dies from Leukaemia, she and her best friend Chris decide to raise money to buy a new sofa for the local hospital waiting room. They manage to persuade several of their friends to pose nude, with them, for a calendar, and with the help of a local amateur photographer, finish their project. They use carefully placed items such as cakes, knitting and flower arrangements to spare their modesty and the calendar is an instant hit.

Admission for the Calendar Girls show will be $42.30 per person for adults, $38.80 for concession holders, $35.80 for group bookings of ten people or more. Tickets can be booked on-line or by phoning 9493 4577.
