It doesn't matter whether you're a baking aficionado or love cake decorating, this three-day event is for you. Oh, I almost forgot. If you simply love the art of eating cakes, breads and other mouth-watering baked temptations, this event is also for you. So long story short, this event is for everyone!

The program is filled to the brim with demonstrations by rock stars of the baking world; competitions where you can battle it out for your chance to win massive prizes; and heaps of awesome classes and workshops. So prepare yourself to gain new skills and techniques, learn the secrets of baking, try tasty treats, stock up on supplies and heaps more.

The following pages outline some of what's going on. So read on and start salivating!


You'll want to bring your wallet to shop around. Expect the biggest range of baking and cake decorating gadgets and supplies, wonderful gifts and delicious food. You'll definitely find masses of baking and cake decorating paraphernalia here. Think baking ingredients, books, bakeware and kitchen appliances. Head to the food market to indulge in anything and everything including cakes, cookies, breads, pastries, you name it!

Pop by the Producers Marketplace to sample, taste and buy freshly baked goods. There will be artisan bakers, cake makers and sweet stores in addition to specialty food producers. I guarantee you'll be salivating nonstop with the huge selection of cupcakes, pies, jams and sauces on display.

The Taste of Chocolate feature will put you in heaven with classes on how to temper chocolate, make chocolate truffles and whip up a chocolate ├ęclair. You'll go home a chocolate pro! And don't forget to sample handmade chocolates while you're there.

There are four feature stages at the Show: Lifestyle Food's All Star Theatre, Delicious Kitchen by KitchenAid, The Bakery Theatre by Devondale, and Cake Decorating Theatre. There will be some of the biggest names in baking including internationally recognised TV stars and chefs to inspire and amaze you in their live demonstrations. I won't give away too much here, but expect the unexpected!

Cake decorators listen up! Be part of the various hands on cake decorating workshops. Catering to all skill levels, from amateurs to experts, the international and the best cake decorating artists will be sharing all their secrets. Check out the full list of workshops here .

Demo Classes are free and fabulous. This is your chance to learn the ins and outs from pro bakers, pastry chefs and cake decorators. Make sure you get there early to snag a seat as seating is restricted.

Make & Take Classes are fantastic. If you'd like to take your baking to the next level, then these classes are for you. The best thing about it is that you get to take your wonderfully finished creation home.


The Australian Cake Decoration Championships is on. If you would like to compete, then make sure you enter before 28 February. Otherwise you can check out all the entries on display at the Show.

Apprentice pastry chefs have the opportunity to compete in the National Apprentice Patissier Competition . Showcase your skills for your chance to attend an international guest chef class at Savour Chocolate & Patisserie School in Melbourne. What's great about this competition is that you get to watch these pastry chefs at work making that winning creation.

If you are a professional chocolate company, then perhaps you'd like to participate in the Australian Chocolate Champion . If you are not a professional chocolate company, then take a look at the various chocolate concoction on display. You may not get to stuff your face with chocolate, but you do get to feast your eyes on these brilliant creations.
