I've made it to my life's goal - the old age pension. Now I write for fun. Hope you enjoy reading.
The Cage Community Centre Opening Day
Official Opening of The Cage, Redland Bay

Here is a win-win for everybody! 'How so?' I hear you ask.

Well, the opening of the Redland Bay Cage Youth Foundation centre is a significant milestone in our local community youth support facilities committed to providing freely available services of direct assistance and support for youth, young adults and their families.

So, in answer to your question, the Cage wins by having you share their special day and you win with a day to remember.

The celebrations commence at the Centre at 882 German Church Road, Redland Bay on Saturday, 2 August, 2014 when Redland City mayor, Cr Karen Williams officially opens the day at 11.00am and the fun and excitement won't let up until 3.30pm.

A variety of activities will keep everybody buzzing. The kids can take their time (as if!) on the free rides. Once they've had enough there they can join in all the fun of the organised games.

Meanwhile mum and dad can make the most of the bargains available at the Food Stalls and Tent Alley where brick-a-brack and other treasures are available for purchase. There will be enough variety and bargains to temp everybody.

A sausage sizzle will be used to keep the air filled with that wonderful aroma and tummies filled with good quality sausages; or you might want to try out the other delicacies available on the day – why not try it all? Whatever you choose it can all be washed down with a coffee, tea or soft drink.

Live entertainment includes an appearance by Nova personalities. And, as a real treat, there will be a special presentation from the Capalaba young people's dance troupe, Club PJ, Industie1. This is not to be missed, these kids are incredible!

And if you think that's enough for one day – hold on a minute – the Good Guys are good guys and have donated some truly fantastic prizes to ensure the multi-draw raffle will spread the love even further.

But wait, there's more; a selection of meat trays donated by Redland Bay Quality Meats will amaze the most fastidious bar-b-que or cordon bleu chef with their variety and quality.

Don't miss out – this is going to be a great day and will support a fantastic cause and make a difference for our community.
