Caffissimo appears like an oasis as you walk through the bustling West End Village. The chaos of the traffic, and the hustle and bustle of the 9-5 working life is soon forgotten as you follow the tantalising aroma of the coffee towards the cutesy little café.

The name Caffissimo seems to be a combination of the Italian words caffe and bellissimo. Translate them and what do you have? Beautiful coffee. The title couldn't be more perfect for the friendly café in the West End Village. The coffee is beautiful, and the coffee art is some of the best that I have ever seen. I was well impressed to see that my macchiato had the word 'Enjoy' creatively drawn on top of the froth. It is the small details that make a place memorable, and this small detail made me smile.

Caffissimo is famous for providing Perthonians with some of the best coffee in the world, and the awesome thing about that is the fact that the coffee is roasted right here in Perth. Now, many café's in Perth may claim to have 'the best coffee in Perth', but Caffissimo can prove it. Over the past three years they have placed in the top 10 at the largest coffee roasting competition in the world. This means that the coffee is not just good by Perth standards, but that it can compete with some of the finest European coffee houses. The blends that are developed at Caffissimo can only be experienced at the actual cafes, and in the comfort of your own home, if you should choose to buy some to buy some to take away with you.

Caffissimo serve more than just excellent coffee. They also import premium quality teas and serve gourmet meals and tasty treats. They have a large range of sandwiches and rolls that will have you salivating at the counter. The fun part about the food is that there is no set menu. Each day is a new day and there will be new and exciting freshly made goods waiting for you each morning.

The café is the perfect place to meet friends for morning tea, or take a client out for business, or treat a co-worker to a mid-afternoon-slump coffee. It is perfect for any occasion, and it is so ambient that it would also be the perfect spot for sipping a cup of freshly brewed herbal tea and reading the newspaper on your own.

The setting is amazing; there are plants everywhere, which helps to create a feeling of ease. It feels like you are alone with your thoughts in a special secret garden that is separate from the city. The service is flawless, the staff all smile at you as you enter the premises, and will smile at you again as they hand over your ordered goods. It is a genuine smile. Everything about the place seems genuine, and a delightful vibe emanates from the place. Perhaps this is due to the bright colours and funky art that decorate the wall of the establishment.

You will love the coffee so much that you will probably want to take some home with you. This is made easy for you! You can buy some freshly roasted coffee on the premises, and you can even have your favourite coffee put into little Nespresso style pods if you want.

All in all, Caffissimo has a stellar reputation, and this is for good reason. The coffee, food and service is fantastic, and the location of the West Perth store is particularly wonderful. You can get a little bit of peace and quiet in the midst of the busy city. What a treat.
