It's safe to say that Moonee Ponds is most famous for housewife-turned-superstar and feather-boa-enthusiast, Dame Edna Everage. While Everage street still sits tucked behind the main drag, the foodie profile of the suburb is soaring.
A jewel in the crown of this scene is Parisienne-inspired eatery, . Located at the station end of Puckle Street, whimsical yellow and white trim adorns the front awnings and immediately casts your mind back to mornings spent in the 10th arrondissement.
The pastry selection at will satisfy even the fussiest Francophile. Macarons, croissants, donuts, cupcakes and tarts are enough to make your mouth water. Coffee aficionados won't be disappointed either, with this place boasting one of the best brews on Puckle Street.
But this place does much more than cakes and coffee. A selection of baguettes, paninis, salads and Frenchy brunch options - including the delectable croque monsieur - won't make ordering easy. Their dine-in menu includes some delicious all day breakfast options, like the creamy baked eggs served with cheesy bread.
The cafe itself is roomy, with smaller tables outside for people watching, and larger tables inside that seat 8 or more.
For a no-fuss, French feed in the North-West, is a must-visit.
