Help a great charity on
Friday 8th August 2014 - simply by buying a coffee at a participating café near you.
CafeSmart 2014 is an initiative of
StreetSmart, an organisation that fundraises to help take action against homelessness. CafeSmart is a one day annual event that unites coffee makers and drinkers around Australia to help people who are homeless. Participating cafés donate $1 for each coffee sold on the day. 100% of this donation will be distributed via grants to grassroots services and projects in the area in which it was raised.

Now in its fourth year, CafeSmart has been a successful fundraiser. In 2013, 275 cafés around Australia raised almost $83,000.
The projects supported by StreetSmart provide critical services and emergency aid as well as promoting social inclusion, empowerment and sustainable change for people who are homeless or at risk. To date, StreetSmart has raised over $3M and supported 843 grassroots projects.

Calling all cafe owners to get on board
If you are a café owner, get on board to help StreetSmart! If you do become a CafeSmart partner cafe, StreetSmart will help to direct customers your way on the day, and will promote your role as a good corporate citizen. StreetSmart is also teaming up with coffee roasters around Australia who will be supporting cafés through supplying discounted coffee beans on the day. There may even be some help from milk suppliers. For more information about becoming a participating café,
