20 Cafes Where You Can Use Your WA Seniors Card

The Seniors Card is quite handy for several things in Perth and indeed around Australia. To be eligible for the WA Seniors Card program, you need to be aged 62 years or above, be a permanent resident of Western Australia, and work less than 25 hours per week, averaged over a 12 month period.

The main thing you can use this card for is, of course, FREE transport throughout Western Australia as long as you do not travel during peak hours. As you need to have stopped working full time to receive this card, this is possibly not a problem. After retiring, why go out before 9.30 am!

This is a list of some of the cafes and restaurants who give those with a Seniors Card a discount. It is generally a 10% discount in these establishments. If you feel you are eligible for the Seniors Card and do not have it yet, you can find out more about obtaining the Seniors Card here .

[b] 1. CANNING RIVER CAFE [/b]
Canning River Cafe is in the Canning River Regional Park in Wilson.

In addition to the 10% discount, they offer a $2 small coffee or $5 small coffee and muffin on Wednesdays.

This restaurant has magnificent gardens, a garden cafe and reception centre. An elegant restaurant for European food made from Swan Valley produce whenever possible.

Just an hour and a half out of Perth, this is a classic place to eat and one that has been a landmark for many years. They have a $12 seniors lunch every day.

Cold Rock Midland is an ice creamery and they have a delicious range of flavours. You can combine these with chocolate and lolly mix-ins. As well as ice-cream they also have shakes, smoothies, sundaes and other hot and cold deserts, as well as specially made ice cream cakes.

This is another long-established restaurant that has both buffet and a la carte.

Brotzeit is a casual restaurant where you can have a snack with a beer or share platters and smaller dishes with friends. It is an authentic German food and drinks place.
