Something on the menu for everyone at this modern cafe
Whether you are seeking a meal with a group or simply a coffee and cake with a mate, this cafe has a lot to offer. Evanston is a suburb of Gawler in the northern suburbs of Adelaide. This makes a great stopover on the way to or from the Barossa Valley. The kitchen is open all day so you can always get a meal at any time.

Cafe Sia is located nearby the Coles Supermarket at the Gawler Green Shopping Centre on Main North Road, Evanston. It is just on your left as you come from the southern entry into Gawler. A new Aldi Supermarket will soon be opening here, and there is a Bunnings Hardware. Also in the centre is the Crazy Monkeys Playhouse Cafe so there is plenty to keep the family occupied visiting this shopping centre.

But even if you are not in the area for shopping, Cafe Sia is an ideal venue to come for a meal or snack. The location is beside the shopping centre so it can be accessed when the shops are closed. This cafe can seat up to 120 if necessary and they have catered to large groups and even a wedding reception. There are some large tables for groups.

The fully licensed restaurant has won a business awards, notably the Savour Restaurant Awards 2015 overall winner for best new restaurant in the north and west category. The awards are proudly displayed in the cafe. The cafe is family owned and operated and not belonging to a chain. They take pride in their fresh produce and offering local and international wines to accompany the menu.
The meals are created with a mediterranean influence and you can find on the menu antipasta share platter, Italian arancini rice balls, pastas, lebanese falafel and many more dishes. There is always a soup of the day and many favourites such as schnitzels and fish dishes. There is an extensive pizza menu also. But the menu is not only snack foods. There are some excellent chicken and steak restaurant quality meals. There is something for everyone on this menu.

At time of writing Cafe Sia had a lunch specials menu at $12.90 available from 11.30 am to 3pm. For lunch there is special burgers, lepinja rolls, pasta, salads and fish and chips. A coffee and cake deal is on all the time, which is very handy for that post shopping trip break to recharge your batteries. Check out the Cafe Sia website for other weekly specials here. There is always a good selection of cakes and also gelati for dessert.

The menu caters well to those on a gluten free diet or a vegetarian diet, as many dishes can be adapted. GF pizzas are available at a small extra fee. Also when I visited there were four GF cake options in the cabinet.

What I find remarkable about this cafe is the staff are all happy smiling and very eager to help you out. This place runs like a well oiled machine, and the meals arrive promptly and without a problem. Looking around the cafe everyone seems happy and chatting with a good vibe about the place, and no loud boom boom music. There is a large outdoor area with a fully covered roof and shade awnings for afternoon sun.

This venue would make an ideal choice for a family gathering, for breakfast lunch or dinner. Or perfect for a special meal for date night. They are open 7 days a week from 8am to 9pm. For meal bookings please be considerate and contact the cafe at least 48 hours in advance. You may call or complete the online booking form here
